Financial Support

All Cancer Biology graduate students receive financial support, either through a research assistantship or a predoctoral fellowship. The McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research has been awarded a training grant from the National Cancer Institute. This grant, "Training in Cancer Biology" (Dr. Bill Sugden, Program Director), provides support for 15 predoctoral trainees. The training grant recently was renewed through the year 2011. Students must be U.S. citizens, noncitizen nationals, or permanent residents to be eligible for support from an NCI training grant. A limited number of research assistantships are available for international students.

For 2008-2009, the stipend for incoming students is $23,000 (less fees).
