Student Profile

All of the graduate students in the Cancer Biology Program are enrolled in the Ph.D. program. The Master's degree is awarded only in rare instances. Currently, there are 35 students majoring in Cancer Biology. Students come from throughout the United States and from other countries, and they have diverse backgrounds and a broad range of research interests. Of the current students, 8 are international students, and 19 are women. Seven of the students are at the predissertator level, and 28 are dissertators. All students in good standing in the Cancer Biology Program are fully supported. Seventeen of these students are now supported by institutional or individual fellowships; 18 are supported by research assistantships.
